Hello, hi, you alright? I’m Gabby Jahanshahi-Edlin and I live in London, but I’m originally from Manchester. In 2016 I set up the groundbreaking charity, Bloody Good Period, and in 2022 I left. I’ve been writing this newsletter since then. I can’t promise strict regularity but I can promise deeply considered opinions and candid honesty, without overshare (I hope). It contains some personal writing, some interviews, some rando chat, some recommendations, and some updates of the things I’m up to like where I’m speaking, running workshops or anything else you might find interesting.

I also hope this is a bit of an antidote to social media and fruitlessly, desperately trying to find nuance in that hellscape. That’s one of the reasons I called this newsletter Post, because I’m hoping it’s a good alternative to your classic, over-trolled long-form instagram post.

I like to experiment on here, and trial different ways to share ideas with you. Feedback means everything, so if there’s something you particularly like reading about, don’t be shy - please just reply and let me know.

To pay my rent, I’m what I like to call a brand nurturer. It’s brand strategy, but instead of slapping huge price tags on a set of exercises, I work closely with founders to help their brands grow, as if they were living things (which they kind of are). I use playfulness, collaboration and empathy to help founder-led organisations create strategic, sustainable growth because there’s nothing worse than taking a great idea to crash-and-burn status.

Why Post?

I can’t resist a little silly wordplay. Hello, Bloody Good Period?!

So, Post is about life after “the top” - after reaching the heights you never thought you would and then what life is like when… you leave... But then it might also become about post-post leaving. Honestly you never know. We could just pretend it just a very hilarious (are you laughing too?) joke because it arrives in your email box not your post box - let’s see how it goes.
